Question: Windows Media Player 11 Show Play List
February 9th, 2007 by Kat Kingsley-HughesQuestion: “I closed the play list in Windows Media Player 11 and now I can’t find an option to get it back. Is there a button to get it back?”
Yup. Right click on the Now Playing button and click “Show List Pane”.
The ‘mystery meat’ style of navigation on Microsoft’s redesigned menu-less apps are leaving a lot of people feeling lost.
You’ll find most of the options from previous versions under the Windows Media Player icon in the top left of the application. If you prefer to have the classic menu you can get them back by clicking on “Show Classic Menus”. (To hide the menus again click Classic Menus on the View menu.)

how do you show the playlist menu? the one on the right side. where i can manage the songs etc. it seems that this only showed me the toolbars.

You’ll find playlists by clicking Library where they appear under the Playlists section on the left.
From there you can create a new Playlist by clicking Create Playlist.
Your existing playlists will appear in the right hand pane. To see the songs in a playlist you need to double click on it. You can manage the songs from there (ie delete or move songs).
To get that list into the List Pane click the “Edit in List Pane” button that you’ll find on the bottom right of the pane. That moves the list into the list pane and you can manage your list in a similar way to previous versions of Windows Media Player.
Hope that helps! π

God, it sucked, I’d open like 20 songs and have no idea where i was in the playlist, thought i messed up my Wmp, this worked, simple, fixed. like a year of wondering. π Only reason I use this stupid program is cause Winamp keeps messing up and closing. π Microsoft blows!

Thank you…I’ve lost this panel too…Windows Media Player is badly programed…In my opinion..I think that this option could be in “View” menu!
Na minha opiniΓ£o essa opção da playlist deveria de estar no menu “Ver”

WoW! I spent so much time trying to find that stupid option to turn the playlist back on! Finally I thought if I was having this much trouble, surly someone else did too. I went to yahoo ran a search open this link, and fixed it in about 2 seconds π
Microsoft is stupid. They just can’t leave stuff alone that works just fine. They have to screw with the stuff that works, and they never fix the stuff that don’t.
Anyway, I’m done ranting π Thanks for the Info!
